"Wait for breast clinic appointment"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Breast Clinic

(as a relative),

My mother attended her Gp in December regarding a lump on her right breast, her appointment at the breast clinic is not until Feburary which is a  50 day wait. She was previously diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in for which she received chemotherapy, lumpectomy and radiotherapy. This is causing my mother anxiety and I'm concerned about her mental wellbeing as well as physical. I had believed NICE guidelines were that suspected cancer cases should be seen within 14 days from initial consultation with GP. Id think this was more vital when the patient had previously had an aggressive form of cancer.
