I arrived onto this ward precisely 11 days ago and everything has been fine, though here are a few things on this ward that are avoidable. For instance the cleanliness of the ward hasn’t been great as there has been a few times where I went into the bathroom and it was filthy.  It looked like the cleaners didn’t even go near it. I actually had to get one of my family members to bring in a some anti-bacterial wipes as it was really bad. This is something that is completely avoidable and upset me as in terms of Covid.  The support staff need to be on top of this.

Other than that the nurses are just great. I haven’t come across one who isn’t caring and kind. They really go out of their way to help you. They explain everything to me and make it so clear. Brilliant staff just a let-down of the cleanliness of the ward.

I appreciate you taking the time to highlight your concerns. I apologise that you have found the toilets in an unsatisfactory level of cleanliness during your stay in hospital. The toilets at ward level are cleaned 5 times daily and as requested. I will share your comments with the Senior Domestic Services Manager who will further investigate this issue to ensure cleaning standards are maintained at all times.
