"Being treated at home is a bonus"

About: Older People’s Services / Hospital at Home Northern Sector

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Story told by 80+ year old male patient from Claudy area.

Very good staff, doctors and nurses were first class.  Being treated at home was a bonus as I did not have to visit hospital.  This is a first class service and would prefer being treated at without having to go hospital which I find stressful.

Thankyou for your feedback.

As a Team we are very happy to be able to provide Acute level care to people in their own homes. We see the value of this day and daily as we meet and speak to people who have been able to stay at home with their loved ones with Acute intervention delivered to them. Hospitalisation can cause stress and upset for people.

If we have been able to reduce any stress to you then we are glad that our Team has worked successfully.

Your comments will be shared with the Team.

Regards Sr O Hara
