I attended MAU twice over the past week with infections in my uterus and c section scar. On both occasions I was cared for quickly and efficiently and listened too. Staff were clearly over stretched through absolutely no fault of their own but still sought to treat me with kindness and compassion when I was in a lot of pain. I was offered food and drinks by various members of staff having missed lunch and tea time there and I was allowed to keep my baby and partner with me whilst waiting which was particularly important to me as baby is exclusively breastfed and I was unable to lift her alone.
I was then moved to mat base as an inpatient for two nights. Staff there were so friendly and looked after me making sure I was comfortable, had food and drink regularly and keeping an eye on both me and baby. The midwives would come and talk to baby aswell as myself which was lovely to see and made me feel more comfortable as they genuinely cared.
I was particularly pleased to be treated by Cheryl on MAU on both occasions. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable and really made a difference to my visits
"Excellent care in MAU and Mat Base"
