"A really good home birth experience"

About: Borders Community Services / Community Maternity service

(as a service user),

I decided that I wanted to try for a home birth with my second baby when I found myself dreading the idea of going into hospital (the first one wasn't that easy...) I am so happy that I did.  It couldn't have been a more different experience, very positive and empowering!

The midwives were amazing, a calm and reassuring presence - they just let things take their own course, offering reassurance and encouragement when I needed it and made it a really good experience.

Thank you paprikamy58 for taking the time to feed back your experience.

I am delighted to hear you had such a positive experience with your home birth and felt this was empowering. Taking the decision to have a home bith seems to have been the right one for you and your family. It is lovely to hear the Community Midwives gave you the reassurance and encouragement you needed at the time, ee will feed this back to the Midwives, they will be delighted!

Kind Regards

Claire
