Arriving a little early for my outpatient scalp biopsy at FVRH this morning, I may just have been lucky to be seen early and with time to spare. But it was in any case notable how patient, calm and always kind Kirsty and Laura have been throughout my procedure. Neither going through the checklist nor applying the local anaesthetic felt rushed in any way, and they also accepted my suggestion to carry out the biopsy in a spot on my scalp that I can see in the mirror (in order to be able to tell if it needs medical attention over the next few days).
I can't really comment on the biopsy itself, as I didn't feel a thing, but afterwards they again took the time to give me advice on aftercare and to fully answer the couple of questions I had. All that being said, the entire process nonetheless seemed very efficient, and I was out just as much ahead of time as I'd arrived.
As such, I had plenty of time to discover that the bus back to Stirling would yet again simply not show up.
