"Efficient and effective throughout"

The surgery has been wonderful for us over the past ten years, from receptionists through to all GPs we have seen. The full range of treatment we have had from family care and support through to pregnancy care, specialist referals, standard cough/colds, to care for our toddler, have all been dealt with quickly, kindly, and very effectively.

In particular an experience this week demonstrated the efficiency i am talking about.

I called at 8am to see if a GP call was possible. I was through the queue of about 16 in maybe 20 mins, and spoke to a receptionist who was perfectly well mannered and kind, performing a swift and clear set of triage questions. I recieved a call back by 08.30 from dr Storey, and after another clear and efficient call, he was able send my prescription to a pharmacy near me as i was not in the area. The prescription was ready for collection by the time they opened at 9.

Brilliant. Better than amazon prime.

Clearly the processes and systems in place both established by the practice and by the NHS to be deployed by the surgery are in this case working very smoothly.

This is the NHS at its finest, so it should be recognised. If there is any way this commendation can both get to the team, and make a difference to say end of year reviews and ultimately pay for the team, that would be great.
