(as a service user),

Sitting in the waiting area in Crosshouse hospital.  People are talking as the wait is long.  There is an a off duty ICU nurse waiting with her mother to be seen.  Out of the kindness of this wonderful woman's heart, she goes and buys a few coffees, crisps and snacks and offers them to the people waiting with us.  It made me smile to see such a simple yet lovely thing. And Crosshouse hospital should be proud of their excellent staff.

Thank you so much for sharing such a kind and thoughtful gesture by a member of our nursing team on her days off, which has brightened everyone's day.

I would agree that the nurse you have highlighted is a credit to her profession and has exhibited the caring qualities we commend in our staff. The ICU team can be very proud to have her as a colleague.
