"Wonderful care"

About: Burton Hospital

We were referred in to A&E as my mother had severe abdominal pain and a mass diagnosed by the GP a week earlier. She was in pain, made worse by her Alzheimers. She was seen immediately and transferred to the Surgical Assessment Centre. Within 4 hours we had a full diagnosis and a plan of care. She was then transferred to Ward 19. The staff were exceptional throughout, kind and clear. She stayed on the ward for a week and was discharged home for palliative care. Every member of staff were amazing.

Dear Pam, Thank you for your kind words. Our staff work very hard to provide high standards of care and it is always encouraging for them when these efforts are recognised. Please be assured that your comments have been shared with the relevant teams. Kind Regards

The PALS Team
