"What has happened to our practice."

About: Malvern Road Surgery

We have been patience's of Railside practice which is now unfortunately part of Medway Medical Centre for over 46yrs. The administrative side of this recently joint practice is a joke. My wife had waited 4weeks for the paperwork to be sent to us to start a referral to see a back specialist, I went to our local Railside surgery to find out what if anything had been done about sending us the necessary paperwork, the receptionist looked at how long my wife had been waiting and started the ball rolling immediately, within hours my wife received a text saying the referral had gone through and we should hear from the hospital shortly. Alas yesterday 01/12/21 at approx. 9.00am we had a phone call at home from their administration department saying to ignore the text as this is not how we do things. Also we were told the person who had tried to help had been told off. To tell us about this I find totally unprofessional and such actions should be kept in house. So we are now back to square one and again awaiting correspondence from the admin team to start my wife's referral.

Dear Mr Galvin.

Apologies for the delay in replying to this feedback. I am sorry for the service you received. We have since then have different staff members dealing with all referrals so hopefully a situation like this doesn't arise again.

Many Thanks

Medway Medical Centre
