About: Dickenson Road Medical Centre

My appointment was made a month ago for 03/12/21 and I've been waiting patiently to discuss ongoing issues which need addressing.

Yesterday a msg came through saying the appt had been moved forward a day to 01/12- I hadn't asked for it, I was ok with the Friday appt due to availability so I could have been at work, out/ driving, trying to lead a normal life with this excruciating pain which I'm supposed to believe is normal.

But no, it had been changed and the Doc rang at 07:35am - I couldn't reach my phone on time so all I got was a voicemail saying I'd missed the call and that I'd have to rearrange for another time. Try moving fast in the morning when your muscles are in spasm and your nerves are screaming in pain.

I feel helpless, I can't do the whole 1 or 2 drama where you ring at 8am and wait for reception to answer or call back only to be told that there's no appts available.

At this point this is my 3rd or 4th review of this surgery. I've had enough.

Thank you again for your feedback. I am the Complaints Manager for Dickenson Road Medical Centre.

I am sorry that your appointment had to be changed and that you were not able to get to the Phone in time to answer the call. If we had moved your appointment there would have been a reason for it. As you can understand in the current Pandemic staff may need to be off work for various reasons for example: isolation; illness; catching Covid and where possible we try to rearrange appointments if there is capacity. I am really sorry that you are in so much pain and hope that you have managed to speak to the Doctor by now. It is difficult calling the surgery for appointments but as you can imagine the current Pandemic has increased the pressure immensely. If you would like this to be investigated further please provide contact details.
