I had the best experience with the home birth team. The midwife who I was assigned for home visits leading up to my birth was amazing. She was friendly, professional, caring, reassuring, kind and practical. She was such a calming presence and made sure that I felt safe and prepared for my home birth. I looked forward to her visits both before labour and once the baby was born. My 3 year old daughter also took a shine to her! Unfortunately, when I went into labour, my midwife was not on shift. However, every single midwife I experienced, whether it was on the phone in the initial stages of labour, the two midwives who helped deliver my baby, the midwives who visited once the baby was born, the midwife on the phone when I was looking for breastfeeding advice and reassurance in the early days, offered the most supportive, calming, encouraging, and wonderful care. I can only say thank you so much for this fantastic support. My baby is so calm and happy and so am I! I am sure this is in no small part thanks to the professional and caring approach of the West London home birth team. THANK YOU! In fact I was so impressed that I am considering a career change and retraining as a midwife.
(I have just discovered this review almost a year after writing it and I don't think I ever posted it - sorry it's late but I still remember this time last year fondly and mean every word!)
"Wonderful home birth experience - very late…"
