"Kind and compassionate nurse"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Respiratory Medicine (Breathing and Lung Problems)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to ward 107 with breathing problems and severe pain(blood clots in lungs & PE) the staff were all amazing from the time of admission to my discharge. One nurse who cared for me daily was Gemma who could not have done enough for me as I was in a room of my own.

It was obvious from admission that the ward was extremely busy but even although Gemma was run off her feet she always found the time to not only do her nursing and professional duties for me. She also found the time to put my mind at rest if I had any queries or questions about anything unusual going on that I might have found it not so easy to ask any other member of nursing staff.  She is so kind and compassionate and is so very dedicated to each and every one of her patients on the ward.

Dear zebrarh95

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback following your recent admission to Ward 107. I do hope you are making a good recovery and are well following your discharge.

I am sure that Gemma will be thrilled with your kind feedback and I will make sure that she sees it. The whole team works really hard to try to provide excellent care and it gives everyone a real boost to know that they have been able to do that despite the high levels of activity in the ward.

Thank you again for taking the time to feedback to us following your stay.

Take care

Catriona
