"Amazing service was provided"

About: Northwick Park Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics St Mary's Hospital (HQ) / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had an Xray at 11.00 am recently expecting to be told I would get the result in a week or so.

But no, the Xray operator saw a problem and referred me to A & E where I was seen by an excellent doctor, I think it was a Dr. Shazi, who was so efficient and arranged an immediate CT scan. This confirmed the Xray operator’s concern and followed it up, after consultation with Queen Mary’s Hospital, by arranging an MRI Scan which meant a stay overnight in Carroll Ward where the care and attention was exemplary.

They couldn’t arrange the MRI scan for Thursday and it had to be done on Friday at 4.00 pm

Dr. Park who dealt with me on Carroll Ward was delightful, a pleasure to have been her patient and so clear in demonstrating a wedge fracture in my spine and the advice she gave to deal with the pain etc.

This is amazing service provided by Northwick Park hospital and I give it 5 Stars

Dear Roddos

Thank you very much for sharing on here your experience with Northwick Park Hospital following your recent xray appointment.

It was great to hear that you were so well looked after from your initial appointment with xray through to your admission to Carrol ward. I am glad that your symptoms were able to be diagnosed so quickly and hope that you receive the treatment you need now for a full recovery.

I will be sure to share your kind sentiments with the teams in xray and in A&E, in particular Dr Park and Dr Shazi, and thank you again for taking the time to post about your excellent treatment.

Kind regards

Peter Hare
