"My exemplary care"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

at the end of November 2021 I was brought to East Surrey Hospital A&E. Upon arrival the triage nurse took me at once through to the "Hot" resus. She could see that I was very distressed and afraid. She was caring, compassionate and extremely professional, she really went the extra mile settling me in and calming me. I was then treated by an excellent team of kind, efficient and extremely professional staff who are all a great credit to their hospital and their uniforms. At all times I felt safe, secure and comforted. All of the staff, triage, radiography and nursing deserve praise and my sincere thanks. I would also like to thank the wonderful A&E Doctor who had to perform a very painful and, for me, terrifying procedure extracting arterial blood from my wrist. At all times, she kept me informed and calm. She made me feel safe and provided me with the best care one could imagine.

Thank you so much for providing this feedback, I am so pleased we were able to make what would have been a distressing time that little bit easier. I have shared this with the tea,. I hope you are making a good recovery following your visit.
