"The team have been so good"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Physiotherapy Enhanced Care / Community Respiratory Care

(as a service user),

I am under the Community Respiratory Team of Newry and Mourne. I have been having Miriam and Francis and Cara out to my house to help me and they are very good. They put themselves in such a harsh position to help people like me when

I need a bit of physiotherapy. A couple of years ago some people from the same team came out, Patricia and Francis again. Honest to god, both occasions the team have been great. I am also under doctor Moan who normally works out of Craigavon, but I see him in Newry at Daisy hill hospital, them and their whole team have been great.
I'm in a wheelchair, and I haven't been outside except to the hospital since 2019. I don't know much about this disease, but it's so nice for people to come in and respect and appreciate how you feel about it, while putting themselves and their families at more risk for very little thanks or money.

dear browseryn48,

My Name is Elaine Mulligan and I am the Service Lead for the Community Respiratory Team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story and for your kind words about the team and how they have been great to you.

I am delighted to hear you have had a very positive experience on both occasions from the team and each member has been respectful, appreciating how you feel.

It's is lovely to hear they had such a positive impact on you both and have managed to facilitate your management at home as you are a wheelchair user and are unable to get out much.

It is very reassuring for the team to know that their input was valued and it will be motivating and encouraging for the whole team.

I will ensure the feedback is shared with the community respiratory team, in particular those named.

thanks again for your lovely feedback

Elaine
