"Moving On speech, Women’s services"

About: Rampton Hospital / National High Secure Healthcare Service for Women

(as the patient),

An ex patient talked about what it is like when she spent over a decade here. Patient talked about how she behaved and how she turned things around and is now in low secure and preparing to move to sheltered accommodation with community mental health support. I found it reassuring when it comes to my turn to move on. Patient was very funny and she shared lots of stories of her time at Rampton and how she progressed to medium then to low and how that was for her. It was very inspiring and very brave. The patient was incredible and she should be very proud.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide feedback regarding the care and experience you receive within the National High Secure Women's Service at Rampton Hospital.

I am delighted that you enjoyed the recovery event and felt inspired by hearing the speech from one of your previous peers who came to visit us. It certainly was a moving story and lots of other people have provided similar feedback to say how much they enjoyed the event. I have personally written to the guest speaker to thank her on behalf of everyone and we hope to be able to repeat the event again next year.
