"Brilliant care "

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

Arrived by ambulance approx 07:30 21 Nov straight into bay 4 where assessed by medical team in conjunction with Salford Royal Neuro team

Transferred to AMU bay G:39 looked after by FANTASTIC nursing team & they were complemented by SUPERB hospitality/ancillary teams

Daily ED Consultants came to the ward & explained their role

Although dazed due to head injury & Dysphoria everyone showed patience with me

I observed some frustration with Trust employees towards bank staff who were less proactive on nights Trust staff extremely professional & rightly stated nursing is the same wherever & took up the slack

I witnessed staff working very long shifts deploying brilliant team work with humour care & compassion

Please ensure those staff tasked with my care are rightly given recognition for this because too often views of minority"keyboard warriors" appear centre stage

Yes the NHS belongs to all taxpayers however for the employees it's nice to know about the positive impacts made on patients & families

Hopefully soon reward & recognition will appear from the Treasury In the meantime I will once again say thank you for the care I received

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. I am happy to read that you have received such good care from ED and AMU staff.

I have sent your feedback to the Ward Manager and Matron and as you have let us know the bay you were in they can identify the staff who cared for you and share your feedback. Staff appreciate hearing lovely comments and we ensure these are always passed on.

I wish you well with your recovery.

Kind regards,

Aoife Isherwood
