"Terrible service"

About: Deal Tree Health Centre

Deal Tree health centre make things extremely awkward for patients. It is virtually impossible to get an appointment and if none are available at a given time instead of making an appointment in the coming weeks you are instructed to ring back on the day.

Staff seem to lack any empathy or understanding of carers' situations, policies and procedures make it very difficult and you cannot even speak to a doctor on the phone.

Absolutely dreadful.

Dear Patient

Thank you for your feedback which is vital in helping us to improve our services to our patients. We are very sorry that you have had problems with our appointment system.

Demand for GP services has risen significantly during the pandemic, however we do understand the frustration this has caused when you have not able to access appropriate care when needed. We have listened to your concerns and have tried to implement change as quickly as possible. We have recruited additional reception staff to allow for isolation and illness, and recruited 8 additional clinical staff members including clinical pharmacists and first contact practitioners. This has provided patients with on average 220 more appointments each week.

We are confident that this will have a positive impact.
