Me and my partner had to go to the early pregnancy unit (EPU) after some heavy bleeding when I was 8 weeks pregnant. I had a bad experience 48 hours prior in A&E who were uncompassionate and largely dismissive. Seeing a wonderful nurse called Danni at the EPU really helped. Although she delivered the worst news that we did not want to hear she was kind and compassionate and listened to our questions. She was warm, validating, and showed us a lot of empathy. I really valued her approach and she made what was an awful experience to go through a little more human and bearable. Thank you Danni.
