"Excellent service at minor injuries"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Minor injuries unit

(as a service user),

My 16yr old son had a burn to his hand after an accident at work.

The staff made sure he had his phone so that he could keep me posted as to what was happening - 16yrs is old enough to be seen on your own due to covid.

He was seen & discharged within 40 mins.

Staff clearly explained to him how to use his dressings & gave him instructions on his painkillers.

He felt well supported by the team.

Well done - excellent service!

Dear Nikki H W

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to your son's experience of using the Minor Injuries Unit of the New Victoria Hospital after his accident at work.

It was nice to hear how the staff looked after him throughout explaining how to use his dressings & giving him instructions on his painkillers.

I hope he is now feeling a lot better.

I will be delighted to pass on your thanks to all the staff involved who I'm sure will be glad to hear they made a difference while he was in their care.

Kind regards

Kevin
