I wanted to thank the midwife that I frequently think about. When my labour started in May 2020 at night she took me to labour ward and looked after me. It was frightening to go to labour at 31 weeks. Not only she was calm and reassuring but she trusted me. It meant the world to me. I remember machines not picking up my contractions and her hands on my belly not feeling them. She STILL trusted me. That was the best feeling ever, to be believed, not dismissed.
I do not remember her name, but the midwife that came after her was Fiona (she was awesome too). My boy was born the following morning.
I really hope this reaches her, as I will be forever grateful for the trust and and the feeling of safety and reassurance.
