"COVID vaccine records"

About: Cardiff & Vale University Health Board NHS National Services Scotland

(as a service user),

I had my first COVID vaccine in Cardiff Wales then moved to Kirkwall Scotland in June and had my second vaccine there. I can’t get a record of my first vaccine from the online NHS Wales site (I have a login) and therefore can’t update my Scottish record and obtain a vaccine passport here. I’ve been told I need to get a QR code of my Wales vaccine to update the Scottish record but Wales only seem to issue records if it has registered two vaccine shots. The upshot of this is I can’t get a vaccine passport and therefore face restrictions on work, socialising and travel as their use becomes more widespread. My husband is in the same position. I’ve heard of many others who’re having problems.

I’ve called helplines regarding vaccine passports in both countries, neither of which could help or refer me to someone who could. I’m now asking anyone I can think of as there seems to be no other way of getting it resolved.
