"Reassuring rehabilitataion service"

About: Edgware Community Hospital / Neurological Rehabilitation Centre

(as a relative),

My partner was recently diagnosed with a progressive neurological condition. Obviously, this news was devastating for them and for the whole family - an experience made worse by the uncertainty surrounding the process of diagnosis and by the apparent lack of joined up care. Different doctors and therapists were initially involved, all at different locations.

Communications between services was slow - especially during Covid. All those difficulties seemed to vanish at our first appointment at Edgware Neurological Rehabilitation Centre. Two lovely members of the team spent almost two hours with us, carrying out a full assessment of my husband's current needs. They were knowledgeable, experienced and above all they were kind. The discovery that a service like this exists - with all the different practitioners a patient may need and with such a wealth of expertise and help on hand - was enormously reassuring and encouraging as we face a difficult future together.
