"Waiting times"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Gynaecology Clinic

(as the patient),

I first had an appointment with gynecology in June 2019 in Stobhill. Following this I did have treatment and a biopsy,  I had a telephone consultation following this revealing the biopsy results were abnormal and that further treatment was required and that I will receive a further appointment.  I have since indeed received appointments but these have been cancelled and rescheduled. This has caused my mental health to deteriorate,

I have no further information regarding these abnormal results and my mind is creating all sorts of scenarios now.

I am struggling with the thought my next appointment in December will be cancelled.  I cannot go on knowing that there is a result showing "abnormal" and nothing has yet been done about it. I would like some sort of guarantee that this appointment will go ahead.

Dear worriedSS

I am so sorry to hear that you have had some of your appointments cancelled and this has resulted in you being stressed and worried which I can understand.

Can I ask that you contact Craig.Spinks@ggc.scot.nhs.uk who is the Clinical Service Manager for Gynaecology and he can look into your situation and ensure you get a positive early resolution to your concerns.

Best Wishes

Evelyn Frame, Chief Midwife

Update posted by worriedSS (the patient)

I have already emailed to this address in June and received a reply with phone numbers if my case was urgent. Is my case urgent? I have to guess not since they keep getting rescheduled.

In regard's to my story it was actually 2020 I was first seen not 2019 as I had originally written.
