Firstly I should say I fully understand GP Practices are extremely busy and I have a great deal of sympathy for staff working in a stressful environment.
However my experience of trying to get help from this practice since moving to the area has not been good.
I have a disability which comes with a number of complications. A couple of weeks ago I managed to get a conversation with one of the nurses at the practice about a particular problem. She seemed very helpful and said she would need to get back to me Tuesday the following week. I didn’t get a phone call. I decided to give it a few more days but still didn’t get a call. The Tuesday the next week I decided to give the practice a call to find out what was going on. The receptionist, to her credit, seemed lovely. She said she would speak to the nurse and they would give me a call. I’m still yet to get a phone call.
I feel rather demoralised by the experience. It’s hard not to feel that the staff simply don’t care, even though they’re probably just very busy. In the meantime I’m still struggling and wondering whether I should try registering elsewhere.
"A frustrating experience"
