I was advised to go into a&e yesterday via 111 and despite being very busy it was so well organised (the signposts to the department car park was a different story!)
I was seen very quickly due to breathing difficulties and given a nebuliser, after that I had to wait to see a doctor and was taken through to the majors department. Bloods/ecg/chest X-ray were all done very quickly and after a second nebuliser I was given a course of steroids I was sent on my way home. I didn’t feel rushed or made to feel I was keeping a bed and the whole process was very effective. All the staff were just great especially the nurse who was trying to do my cannula and I was getting quite upset and agitated about just being in hospital.
"In and out of within 4 hours, brilliant team"
