"Missed appointments due to lack of hospital transport"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and suffer with PGP. I struggle to move around so cannot use public transport, and have noone to take me to appointments.

My midwife sorted something for me that the hospital fund my transport to appointments due the appointments being needed. However, my midwife has been on annual leave and not available, so cannot sort the transport. The hospital have to do it themselves.

I've missed three appointments this week because of having no transport. And each time they have rang me and lectured me on attendance of the appointments. Now each time I have explained politely that I cannot attend appointments unless they sort out transport. On two occasions they did not listen and made the appointment anyway. On the third occasion (today) after I explained yet again the response i received was that they usually leave it up to the patients, and don't organise it there. However they had already been informed by consultants and midwife the hospital must fund and arrange transport.

Due to this I cannot attend appointments and they are making out it is my fault, when they are the ones neglecting a patients needs.
