The greatest shock of my life. My mum dies of old age 91. The shock of this event completely wiped me out so I decided to drive to my local surgery - Portland in Troon. On the way another car hit mine.

I called the police, they arrived and assisted this situation and offered to drive me to surgery. I was out in ambulance and taken to Crosshouse Hospital, taken to ward 3E, where I met Brian/Kevin and their team who completely took control by putting in a bed and sorting me comfortable. Since then I been scanned, punctured, blood taken analysed for head damage.

Due to the shock, I broke down many times and they comforted me kind words and gestures to help me 'man up'. On Sunday I feel much better, due to their support and encouragement and standards.

 I am truly Grateful and Thankful.

Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to post your feedback. I was so sorry to hear about the very sad death of your Mum and would like to offer you my sincere sympathy.

The distress of your Mum's death must have been compounded when you were involved in a road traffic accident a short time later and admitted to hospital as a consequence.

It was reassuring to hear that you felt so well looked after and supported during your stay in Ward 3E. We will share your very kind comments with the team, which they will be delighted to receive. Brian, Kevin and their colleagues have clearly shown empathy and compassion for your very difficult situation and it will be heartening for them to know that they have been a help to you.

We are very grateful to you for sharing you experience, especially at such a harrowing itme.
