I have been drinking for many years it has gradually become a problem.

I have been diagnosed with Korsakoff's syndrome I was fed-up with the way my life was going. I was referred to Telford STARS by my alcohol Liason sister, they helped me immensley. Whilst engaging with Telford STARS, something in my brain just 'clicked' and I decided that I did not want to drink anymore. I have not drank for just over 2 months now, even with the terrible loss of 2 family members. I am aware of my triggers now and remove myself from these situations. The birth of my first grandson almost 2 weeks ago is motivation for me to continue on the clean and sober life-path.
