"My medical care"

About: Inverclyde Royal Hospital / General Medicine ( wards G North, G South, J North, J South & L South) Scottish Ambulance Service

(as the patient),

I was admitted to hospital at the Inverclyde royal infirmary. I am 52 and had never been in hospital, there was a lot of apprehension. From the first second with the ambulance staff to the full nursing staff I have been blown away by their kindness, their understanding, their professional and efficient manner and probably most of all there ability to make me feel comfortable in a hospital scenario.

I run a building business and I know how difficult it is to stay focused but I was in awe of the staff who do not stop.

Again I would like to thank all the staff on behalf of myself and my family.

Dear Mr Lochgoilhead,

I was delighted to hear of your positive experience during your recent visit to Inverclyde Royal Infirmary.

The whole team strive to deliver person centred care for all patients and it is very satisfying to get such feedback.

I will ensure this is passed on the team, as it is very important to be reassured that they have looked after you well in a sensitive and caring manner.

Many thanks.

Yours sincerely

I am really sorry to read you have had to make use of our services as well as those of the wider NHS. This must have been very worrying especially as you have never done so before. I am delighted to read about the wonderful care given to you, which I am sure helped to reassure you along the way.

I hope you are on the road to recovery and feeling much better,

Best wishes to you and your family
