"Not happy"

About: Beaumont Villa Surgery

After experiencing a bad chesty cough/bringing up green phlegm/extremely short of breathe for over a week I could not get through to the surgery as it was constantly engaged. I already have a heart condition. So I sent an e-consult. Very quick to reply..but the reply was..we will refer you to a pharmacist who will get back to you. 24hrs later I am still waiting.

Not sure what a pharmacist can do for a chest infection. On my last appointment I asked for an appointment for a flu jab…sorry we haven’t got any. One person blamed it on the government and another a lorry driver shortage.

We are sorry to hear that you were unwell and unhappy with our econsult service.

Our econsult service has the facility to offer patients to go to a pharmacy of their choice for help with minor ailments and health problems. We will only refer a patient to this service if the patient agrees to the referral, if a patient does not wish to take up this offer we will put them on the list for a call back from the GP.

There was a shortage of flu injections and problems with delivery but as soon as we had a delivery all those patients eligible for the flu injection were invited to book an appointment.
