"Remarkable values to support a complex gentleman"

About: Intellectual Developmental Disabilities /Learning Disability Services - Community / Intensive Community Assessment & Treatment Team - ICATT (North & South)

(as a staff member),

Patient referred after input with LD services, with ongoing health and complex needs (behaviours of concern)

ICATT showed dedication from their staff team.  At times when things were heightened for us, I know I for one rang ICATT who were always on the end of the phone to offer support and advice.

They showed resilience - ready to respond with person centred approaches, introduced social stories, accessible formats to support with communication.

It wasn't just working in the best interest of this young man but demonstrating to the staff team to understand different needs and working in ways to resolve behaviours of concern.

Enthusiastic -  talent and work ethics all were engaged and motivated to support and implement all suggestions to reduce behaviours using interventions and recommendations based on this young person's needs.

Arranging meetings and getting others involved to complete other works to reduce risks associated from all aspects of day to day - this involved paperwork with in the project to support under MCA, getting other professionals to undertake their role and responsibilities

I cant describe our heartfelt thanks for the support to both service user and staff team from all ICATT team

Thank you so much for your involvement :)

Dear microscopiumtp98

Thank you so much for leaving such positive feedback that I shall share with the team.

It is great to read that ICATT were responsive to your needs and that they were able to engage and suggest positive strategies for the young man that you support.

We wish him and the staff team ongoing success

with kindest regards

Bridget
