"Difficulty rearranging a covid booster jab"

The staff at the vaccination centre at East Lothian Community Hospital in Haddington about 1315 were outstandingly helpful and efficient.

I was called for a covid booster jab for a week later but this clashed with a booked visit to see a relative in a care home.  I tried to rearrange the appointment by phone but the Helpline wasn't answering calls and the online NHS Inform site couldn't find any trace of me.  As I was going to Haddington I popped into the Community Hospital and was met at the car park entrance by a very helpful young man who listened to my story and directed me quickly to the helpful staff on the reception desk and onward to the warm and reassuring vaccinator.  Roughly 20 minutes after arriving at the facility I left with my Moderna booster vaccination.

The staff from carpark to vaccinator deserve to be congratulated for providing a first class patient experience.
