"The amazing care myself and my newborn baby received"

About: Inverclyde Royal Hospital / Maternity care Royal Alexandra Hospital / Maternity care (Ward 31)

(as the patient),

I'd like to highlight the amazing care myself and my newborn baby received at the RAH/IRH, from pregnancy to delivery. 

Thankyou to ward 31a and 31b for looking after us. Special Thankyou to Jenna.

Thankyou to the midwives at IRH for their care throughout my pregnancy. 

Massive Thankyou to the anaesthetics, theatre and recovery team for delivering my baby boy via emergency section. Anaesthetics Drs Neil, Tom and Jack did the most amazing job of taking care of us and also keeping me so calm. Also the two anaesthetic nurses were so understanding and kind, it really made a massive difference. I’m so thankful to all of you that I was awake to meet my boy.

Special Thankyou to midwives Kelly Ann and Sophie in recovery.

Thankyou to the wonderful obscetric team. Special Thankyou to Dr McNinn for taking care of us throughout a complicated pregnancy and always managing to keep me calm, informed and fully involved in my care.

The amazing diabetic team at IRH Dr Osborne, nurse specialists Gaynor and Karen who were all so supportive throughout again the care I received was outstanding.

Thankyou to Dr Joull for bringing my baby safely into the world. 

I really can’t express how grateful I am for the care mentioned above, it made a complicated pregnancy and delivery manageable and I am so grateful to all of you, you went over and above doing your jobs and I feel so lucky.

Thank you so much for taking the time to send this lovely feedback about the IRH and RAH teams. It is great to hear of the wonderful care you have received and the positive impact this has had on you and your pregnancy journey despite the complications that you have experienced. Congratulations on the safe arrival of your son and I hope you are now recovering well and enjoying this time with your baby. I will share your feedback with the teams at IRH and RAH in particular the staff members you have named and I know they will appreciate this very much.
