I wanted to thank all the staff of the Nuclear Medicine Dept for looking after me this week.
Unfortunately I've had bad experiences from another NHS Lanarkshire Hospital.
The staff were supportive, professional and listened to how I was feeling.
One of the nurses took me aside into a private room for a chat as she was concerned for my wellbeing and wanted to make sure I was ok. The nurse went above and beyond and offered to see what additional support she could refer me on to as I was struggling being back in a hospital enviroment and wasn't having a particually good time .
For the first time I felt I wasn't a number or a name on a list .I felt I like I was a treated like a person.
I cant remember the nurses name but I'm eternally grateful to her for taking the time and acknowledging that I was struggling. She'll never know how much of a difference it made to me that day.
