"I can't praise the unit enough"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Cancer Services

(as a service user),

I've had treatment for over 12 months for thrombocythemia at the Haematology team at the Seamoor Unit. The level of care and attention they have given me over the last 12 to 14 months has been extremely good.

There was a slight hiccough with a procedure and I ended up as an inpatient for 2 weeks, and the staff were very considerate of my needs. If I have more questions, the consultant would come round at the end of the day and answer questions, despite having come round earlier to see me.

The Care nurses have a number that I have had occasion to ring a couple of times over the last year, and I can't fault the service at all. Very helpful, and they usually call back the same day or within 24 hours.

I can't praise the unit enough, especially with all the problems I've gone through, I can't fault them. I know that I have been very lucky that I am able to access all the care I need.

Dear vulpeculawn34,

I hope you are keeping well.

Thank you so much for this feedback. It is always nice to hear of positive experiences.

I'm sorry that there was a hiccup in your care that resulted in a longer hospital stay.

As always do not hesitate to contact the haematology nurses should you need any assistance.

Kind regards

Pippa
