"After care"

About: Sandwell General Hospital

I had a bad fall and dislocated my hip. I had it put back in successfully. I went to A&E on 15/10. My elbow has a small fracture. I can't do anything about it as I am on crutches. I've tried phoning the orthopedic secretaries but no one is answering. I need to speak to my consultant to see what he can do for me. It's like getting blood out of a stone. There must be someone in the department manning the phones. Meanwhile I am left in pain.

I'm very sorry that you have been unable to contact the orthopaedic secretaries following your injury. If you are still having difficulties in attaining details please message the Communications team (swbh.comms@nhs.net) with your details, including your NHS number and they will contact the team for action. With apologies, Richard Beeken, Chief Executive.
