Following a consultation with the Dr Scott in Resipirtory in April 2021 after being transfered from Paediatric Respiratorymy daughter was advised she would need to see the consultant again in 2 months.
Fast forward to July 2021 - no appointment received, I then enquired why this was to be told that a full lung function test was required but due to covid it had not been possible. I accepted this and we awaited the lung function test which was then done in August 21.
Today after waiting another 3 months and no follow up appointment I phoned the hospital, to be honest now my understanding and patience is at the very limit.
We now have our follow up appointment for the 2nd if February 2022, so a 2 month follow up has become a 10 month follow up for a 17 year old child who has has uncontrolled asthma for her whole life and had her treatment plan changed in April 2021. As a side note tge new medication hasn't improved her symptoms at all, so the daily struggle continues.
