I have been waiting for an appointment for over 3 months now.
I was advised to call in if I don't hear anything about the practice by 22 July 2021. I am keep calling every month, with no results. The only thing I am being told that there is a back-log and to be patient. The reason for being transferred is the outcome of a transvaginal ultrasound which detected a polyp in my uterus, though to be treated I need to consult with a gynecologist, and I am back to square one, where I am waiting for an appointment.
Going in to the clinic is not an option because I get the same answer as on the phone: "We did not forget about you, be patient"
On the NHS app the information is that an appointment is usually being issued in 29 days, right now it has been already 101 days with no updates whatsoever.
This leaves me to my own devices to research what to expect with this condition, and I've already been told off by a patronizing GP that looking up conditions online is a bad thing, so I stick to the information provided by NHS but the result is not good, I read that it causes miscarriage and can turn into cancer, I feel like I do not have to explain what negative effect this has to my mental health as well. Focusing on the present, the unbearable and excruciating period pain, bleeding between periods and the constant migraines and headaches should already be enough for the sense of urgency.
If there would be an option to choose another clinic I would, but there isn't, so all I can do is wait, and hope my condition won't get worse.
"Impossible to get an appointment"
