"staff very busy and miss the small things that can make a difference"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 3 North Ward Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response South Tyrone Hospital / Day Clinical Centre

(as a service user),

I was transferred to A&E by ambulance. The paramedics waiting with me until there was a bed available in A&E which was nice. I was then moved to Ramone and the nursing staff there were not very helpful. I know they are busy, but, for example, I was told to wash myself. I am independent at home but I needed extra care whilst in hospital as I am unwell. I was then moved to 3 North and staff are helpful but then miss small things like not removing the stickers after an ECG. I had to remove them myself as the staff member said they would come back to remove them but didn’t. The cleaners are always in and out and keep the place very clean, I could take them home to clean my home they do such a good job.

Dear wearingwp77

Thank you for your kind compliments about the treatment you received from the ambulance service clinicians who treated you recently.

We are always very grateful for feedback, especially the good kind. If you would like me to offer your thanks to the crew involved, please contact me on amanda.sweetlove@nias.hscni.net as I would need a few extra details.

I hope you are feeling much better.

Take care

Amanda
