My daughter (10 weeks old) became ill with a severe bladder infection and at the start there were speculations of sepsis. I was terrified. But the staff reassured me and treated my baby girl with exceptional care! The doctors and nurses were kind, caring and made the darkest days of my life bearable! There was a quick diagnosis and the Thursday night she was straight on intravenous antibiotics and checked every 2 hours. By Friday she was always showing signs of improvement. They saw us every day for 4 days for intravenous antibiotics and then guided us in how to administer the oral ones for discharge.
The work they do is incredible! I feel very lucky to have such an amazing children's ward on my door step. Nothing was too much for them and they deserve recognition for such amazing work they do! Thank you to all who treated our little Lily. Danni and Jack.
