"Blossom ward cares for both parents and sick child"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Blossom Ward (Paediatrics)

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter has been admitted to the blossom ward for a few days now.  The nursing staff are great and are keeping me well informed on her care and explain everything. They are very gentle and caring. I like that the staff care for the parents as well, for example they will provide me with tea, food and ensure I am comfortable. I like that they encourage me to take a break from sitting in the room, even just 5 minutes outside can be refreshing and I can relax knowing my daughter is being looked after when I take this breather.

Thank you eaglefx79 for giving this lovely feedback about our Blossom children's ward and in particular the nursing staff who you found gentle, caring and supportive and kept you informed about your daughter's care.

I hope your daughter is improving and it will not be too long before she and you will be able to get home.

All the best, David

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience during this very anxious time. It is lovely to hear that you are cared for as well as your daughter; I will be sure to pass on your lovely comments to the staff who will be very pleased to receive them and to know they are making a difference.

I wish you and your daughter well and hopefully she will be discharged home soon.

Regards

Bernie
