"The staff have been incredibly supportive (Fern Centre)"

About: Cancer Services / Living With & Beyond Cancer (Fern Centre)

(as a service user),

At a time of my life when I was great grief at the sudden death of my husband and the diagnosis of malignant melanoma I was very low. Anxiety about the future affected my life. I was anxious about attending the Fern Centre. I was welcomed so warmly that my anxious thoughts soon disappeared. All my contact - by phone or face to face - has been amazing. The staff have been incredibly supportive. I have been blessed to have been given 3 reiki sessions. I leave after each session feeling good and in control. I am able to use visualisation at home to transport me back to the room where I can once again experience the warmth and comfort.

Dear Skitty

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your lovely feedback. We are sorry to hear of your husbands passing and your diagnosis of malignant melanoma. It has been incredibly heartwarming to read that we have been able to offer you some comfort and support during this very difficult time for you. It is lovely to hear that we have helped alleviate some of your anxiety and you have found the reiki sessions so beneficial. I will pass on your kind words to our reiki practitioner. As you have only had 3 sessions of reiki you will be entitled to another 3 sessions of an alternative complementary therapy (message/reflexology) in the future if you would like.

Please feel free to pop in to see us at the Centre at any time, you are always welcome. If you have any concerns or queries please do not hesitate to contact us on 01271 311 855.

Best wishes

Taz
