I have just delivered our second child via a home birth with the Southern Trust, via Banbridge Community Midwives. I would like to pass along our gratitude and thanks to all involved in our care throughout pregnancy, the delivery and our after care to date as we have had nothing but a positive experience with all involved.
All staff involved with our care have been a true credit to their profession and their team as a whole.
The midwives could not have been more lovely throughout my pregnancy and my delivery and I am so glad I went for a home birth.
I felt completely informed and that there were very open lines of communication, any queries or concerns I had I knew would be dealt with quickly and professionally.
I have felt completely heard and understood throughout my experience and made to feel like I, my baby, and my birth experience truly mattered - something which was very important to us this time round due to terrible mismanagement with our first birth with a different Trust.
There is definitely so much more effort and planning required by the midwives to allow for a safe home birth and not once was I made to feel like I was being a nuisance or an inconvenience to anyone by choosing the home birth option.
Both my husband and I are genuinely so happy with our experience with the Southern Trust, and I genuinely can't fault anyone that I've met throughout the process. We felt like everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with everything along the way.
There is no doubt in our minds that we have received the best care we could have had, and we would like for all staff involved with us to know how grateful we are to them.
If we ever decide to have any future babies, we'll definitely be aiming for another home birth after this experience.
"Fully supported at our Home birth"
