I am not a happy patient. I am a type 1 insulin-dependent diabetic and have been for 31 years, and I need to test my blood sugars some 15 times a day. Today my Freestyle Libres 2 failed so I needed a new one urgently. To get an urgent prescription I tried to phone the Maltings at about 9 am today and was told the telephone queue was full and I was cut off. Tried a further 16 times over the next hour and still never joined a queue. Spoke to a pharmacist who said try 111 and eventually I got an emergency prescription. I want Maltings to be aware of this issue as people just cant get through to the surgery.
"contact by telephone"
