"CBT therapy session"

About: Hounslow IAPT

(as the patient),

I had my first CBT session yesterday, Wednesday, and have to say that I felt like nothing more than a text book case. I felt the therapist could not have been less interested in me or my story, I also felt I was spoken to like a child, about the therapists expectations, rather than my own. Just one more tick on their sheet. Shocking

I want to apologise that you did not have a good experience of our service. I want to acknowledge the courage it can take to reach out for support during what is a difficult time. We would also like to hear more about the concerns that you raised in order to give constructive feedback to our therapist about their performance.
