"Ward A31 - Learning disability support"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Learning disability

(as a staff member),

I had a referral in for a patient with learning disabilities who was having a difficult time.  I just want to give some feedback to the ward in their practise.  Times are difficult yet the atmosphere of the ward is welcoming and warm.  The Nurse Louise (in particular) has been excellent at adapting the way she nurses to ensure this patient feels reassured.  As a learning disability nurse it is very reassuring that during these busy times, there is still room for compassion, empathy and willingness to provide person centred care to people with complex needs.  Well done ward A31!!

Dear Jempp39

Thank you taking the time to get in touch and leave such lovely feedback. The staff continue to work under extreme pressure due to patient acuity, capacity pressures and ongoing COVID cases, it is excellent to get this kind of feedback and to feel reassured that staff are striving to ensure the delivery of person centered care.

Kind regards

Rosario Walsh

Hi Rosario,

Thank you, your staff team deserved Jemma's feedback, well done supporting everyone that comes to your ward. However as the LD Interim lead nurse it is heartning to hear that your tream have taken this individuals needs on board as part of your care, recognised their needs and done all you can for them.

Thank you
