I had a referral in for a patient with learning disabilities who was having a difficult time. I just want to give some feedback to the ward in their practise. Times are difficult yet the atmosphere of the ward is welcoming and warm. The Nurse Louise (in particular) has been excellent at adapting the way she nurses to ensure this patient feels reassured. As a learning disability nurse it is very reassuring that during these busy times, there is still room for compassion, empathy and willingness to provide person centred care to people with complex needs. Well done ward A31!!
