"Problem with 'Did not attend'"

About: Lambourn Surgery

Checking my earlier appointment to confirm the name of the doctor that I saw, I was shocked to find that of three appointments I has during 2020, there were two down as 'did not attend'.

These were vaccination appointments at the surgery of which I was unaware, having attended the appointments I had been given at Newbury Racecourse at different times and dates.

If these are taken into your official figures it is not surprising that you have the very high level of non-attendance that you report.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that these appointments showed as "did not attend". This was due to how the vaccine programme was rolled out at pace. Initially all appointments were booked through the surgery booking system. As the vaccine recording was ultimately done on a national system the attendance was not registered at the surgery. Please rest assured we were aware of this issue, and none of the covid vaccination "Did not attends" were included in any non attendance reporting.
