"Alcohol & grief"

About: Inclusion Visions Thurrock (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service)

(as a service user),

I lost my mum March 2019 and although I already drunk it was 10 times worse to the point where I attempted to take my own life. Then after being in hospital I got referred to Inclusion Vision and that is where my life changed. With the support of my husband and my amazing key worker Matt I have now got to a point where I am feel strong enough to go forward alone. This service is amazing and totally free. I cannot recommend it enough. Please do not suffer alone these great people work with you and get you through the dark times until you see the light at the end of the tunnel

Dear jwc09

I am sorry to hear about your Mum and how difficult that time in your life was. I am so glad you found your way to us through being referred and have had the support of your husband and your keyworker Matt.. It takes hard work to get to the point where you feel you "can go forward alone" so can I just acknowledge that for you.

I am hoping people read your story and will feel encouraged to contact us if they are living with the challenges around their use of drugs or alcohol. Please get in touch.

Thank you for being an inspiration and taking the time to share your thoughts

Take care

Emer
